Dog Gone Fitness

Dog Gone Fitness Services

Annie Lever’s Dog Gone Fitness offers several options depending upon your needs. Annie provides a shuttle service for your dog, picking them up not in a cargo van, but in a comfortable climate-controlled passenger vehicle and driving them to the hiking trails or dog park. Regardless of the group session, your dog is thoroughly pampered, receives one-on-one attention, experiences playful interaction with other dogs, and is always provided fresh water. Upon drop off, your pet is provided water, food if requested, and a yummy treat.

MORNING HIKE GROUP SESSIONS

The morning hike group is picked up between 7:00 and 8:00 in the morning, where your pet is joined between like-minded friends ready for a great cardio workout!  These sessions, offered six days a week are divided into two paces: high intensity or moderately paced to meet the fitness level and temperament of each dog.
  • High Intensity Group Hike: On the trail between 1 1/2 and 2 hours, covering a 4-5 mile range.
  • Causally Paced Group Hike: On the trail between 50-75 minutes. This group is perfect for those wishing a more leisurely stroll, older and/or sedentary breeds.

Drop off at the requested location is between 10:00 and 12:00, but arrangements for a double session can be arranged if you want your dog to stay longer.

AFTERNOON GROUP SESSIONS

The afternoon play group is picked up between 9:30 and 11:00 in the morning.
We have been fortunate to now offer either one of the local dog parks or a beautiful afternoon hike with plenty of trees and water. The afternoon hike is about 1.5 to 2.5 miles depending upon the weather and the activity level of the dogs. If we do go to the dog park they have fun chasing each other around, fetching tennis balls, catching Frisbees, and running around with other dog-safe toys.
Between 2:00 and 4:00 in the afternoon, the dogs are returned to your predetermined location. Arrangements can be made to keep your dog longer to fit your schedule.

“SAT” SIZE ABILITY AND TEMPERAMENT

Not all dogs are created equal. Most dog Hiking / Walking companies will take any and all dogs and mix them together. As a result your pup may have a most unpleasant experience. Everyday we see very poor pairings such as Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and German Shepherds in the same group.

All dogs are different and all dogs have characteristics that makes them unique. With that in mind we review your dogs particular characteristics to determine which of our groups they would be best suited for. This is why we use the “SAT” method in determining the optimums group for your dog. “SAT” Stands for  Size, Ability and Temperament. We match like dogs together! Novel Idea.
